3 tips for draping an organza saree!

1: Start the drape in the middle of your body for more pleats AND so that both sides of your drape are equal layers. This is especially important if your saree is sheer.

2: Take extra wide pleats when draping an organza saree as narrow pleats will open up/won’t hold.

3: Micro pleat your pallu for a more structured look.

Saree School Lesson 30 - No Sew Blouse Alteration with a Bangle

When you want to raid Amma’s saree closet but all of her blouses are too big for you. All you need is a bangle and a hair tie - easier when you have someone to help✨

Step #1: With the blouse on, pull one side of the back of the blouse over the other side until you're comfortable with the fit.


Step #2: Take a bangle and position it inside the blouse at the center of your back.

Step #3: Gather the fabric around the bangle from the outside and tie it with a hair tie or elastic band.

Step #4: And there you have it - a quick, no sew blouse alteration!
