The Seedha Palla drape has been worn by women across North and West India since the late 19th century, especially in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Similar to the Nivi style, its key difference is the pallu, which is brought over the right shoulder from back to front.

Products used:

This drape features:

  • A five to six yard saree, typically worn with a blouse and petticoat
  • The pleats tucked at the center front
  • The pallu brought over the right shoulder and either left loose, tucked at the waist, or arranged to cover the head
