Traditional Saree Drapes | Mohiniattam
The Mohiniattam saree drape comes from Kerala and was traditionally worn by female dancers performing the classical dance form of the same name. This drape was used before the stitched and pre-pleated costume of today became common in performances. Typically worn with a fitted blouse and a matching underskirt, the drape was completed with traditional temple jewelry and fresh flowers in the hair.
